Apex Training is run by Paul Platt in the Lake District. As a company we have been providing Mountain Leader Training and assessment courses for nearly 10 years. All courses are endorsed by MLTUK.

During this times we have gone from strength to strength as a company and as a training and assessing team. From 2004 onwards we have run at least 8 full training and assessment courses each year. This ensures that our staff are current, well practised and very experienced, not just as mountaineers in their own right, but also as trainers and assessors on Mountain Leader courses. In our view it is this key element that contributes enormously to delivering a top quality course.

All our Mountain Leader and Walking Group Leader courses include food, accommodation and transport while on the course. This is so that we can concentrate primarily on maximising the training & assessment elements of the course. Do you want to Get Qualified? 

If you’re over 16, working/volunteering in sport or outdoor pursuits in Cumbria or Lancashire, you may qualify for up to £250 towards fees for outdoor qualifications including Summer ML, SPA and Local Cave courses & Mine Leader Assessment Scheme

You will be required to deliver a minimum of 15 hours’ volunteering in return for this support
