New for 2009 we are offering one day environmental courses. There are three of these courses each running on a Saturday after the May, June and July ML courses (dates below).

Rob Clow who will be running the days is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the mountain environment. Each day will be based in the Langdale valley and Rob will be able to talk about the geography, flora and fauna and geology of the area.

The day is valuable for anyone who walks in the UK mountains and especially those who lead others and would like to be able to give fellow walkers some interesting facts about our mountains. Candidates going for assessment who lack a little environmental knowledge will find the day extremely useful.

Rob will be able to take a maximum of six people on each day.

The cost per person is £40. For those wishing to do this as a bolt on to an ML course or indeed anyone else accommodation and food is available at Holly How YHA. Please contact us for details.
